We do not waste
the good stuff
Prequel
In 2020, Johannes had a dream. It would be amazing to build something huge that floats on the sea. A quick Google search and some basic research quickly dismissed the idea as too expensive.
In 2022, Johannes read an article about recycling wind turbines. While the The massive fiberglass rotor blades were the biggest challenge and cost factor.
But wait… recreational boats are also made of fiberglass!
The old dream started to rekindle.
In 2024, after thorough research and brainstorming at Kiuas Accelerator, Oy Reverlast Ab was incorporated and the world’s first floating blade-based jetty launched! Aalto Sustainability Action Booster funded the pilot project and enabled the always open sustainable and affordable sauna experiences for all interested: siipisauna.fi
Early 2025 in turn received an explosive start with several sold and delivered B2C summer house jetties. However, after a thorough consideration we decided to leave this market due to its limited size and viability as an offtake channel for retired wind turbine blades.
Present
As of late 2025, shifted our focus to building world’s first techno-economically viable Nearshore Floating Solar solutions.
A pilot is agreed and scheduled for early 2026!
Future
The future is full of potential yet always uncertain.
Our values, on the other hand, remain stable over time:
1) Proven and applied innovation over desktop research - for us success is measured in months of functional new products in production environment. Counter so far: 14 months.
2) Sustainable development. We do not burden or harm our environment and its biodiversity in the pursuit of efficiency, commercial profit, or even sustainability.
3) A meaningful and happy workplace. We are a workplace with high openness for weirdness and where all stakeholders reap the fruits of success.
